Practice description
After a first experience in the industrial property department of L’OREAL, Aurelien joined CASALONGA in 2017.
He is involved in the acquisition and defense of IP rights, in particular in drafting patent applications and in patent prosecution (grant and opposition procedures) worldwide and represents our clients in opposition proceedings before the European Patent Office (EPO) and the French Intellectual Property Office (INPI).
He also conducts studies on patentability and freedom-to-operate issues.
Aurelien works mainly in the fields of organic chemistry, pharmacy and cosmetics.
Adjunct teaching / Professional organizations
Since 2021, Aurélien has been teaching an introductory course on industrial property as part of the University Diploma on Drug Design of the University of Lille.
Aurélien is a member of the French Patent and Trademark association (CNCPI “Compagnie Nationale des Conseils en Propriété Industrielle”) and of the European Patent Institute (epi).
